Carolina Pines Realty, Inc. was formed in 1997 by Barbara Wright.
Barbara saw a need for a small company to meet the requests of people coming to the Horry County area.
The people coming to the area requested that they wanted

Barbara felt the best way to provide this was by remaining a small company and providing individualized service to her clients.

I had the distinct pleasure of raising two of our three daughters near the beach front and on MB AFB Base here in Horry County in the early 1960’s to mid 1966, while my husband was stationed at Myrtle Beach AFB.
We were privileged to live in many wonderful places during his career and made lots of friends. After retirement we lived in East Tennessee to be near to his family. While serving church and the community, we owned and operated a seafood market, restaurant and catering service.
Since my residence in the Myrtle Beach area I have seen wonderful changes with more to come. When driving through the old Myrtle Beach AFB I see a great reformation and I am looking forward to the completion.
Upon returning to Myrtle Beach in 1987, I felt the need to be a part of the community and became a licensed real estate agent.
In 1996 I wanted to have my own company to be able to personalize my services to each individual. I completed the necessary education and obtained my broker’s license, then opened Carolina Pines Realty, Inc., and established an office in the COURTYARD in Surfside Beach. I have been operating there since 1997.
I have been an active member of the Board of Realtors and served on several committees in order to support and serve you, the public, better.
I have had an active roll in my Church and am presently attending Seaside Community Church, please come and visit us.
It is my intent to continue to offer my customers the individualized service they desire.

Having successfully been involved in the real estate industry as a buyer and seller of fixer upper homes for the past 30 years I decided to become a real estate agent.
In addition to learning the real estate business over the years, I was employed at OST Trucks and Cranes, in Ventura CA, in the marketing and sales department and then as the finance controller and IT manager.
I also learned duct design, equipment selection, and blue print reading during the years I worked for Bay Area Air Conditioning in Crystal River, FL as estimator and construction supervisor.
In 2005 I felt the need to move to be closer to my grown children and grandchildren so we chose the Conway area. I felt the real estate business would be a good business to become involved in and I chose to work with Barbara as I liked the idea of offering individualized service to her customers. This was exactly what I wanted to do.
